Abstract
The sociometric technique was used to measure the changes occurring in peer acceptance in a third grade classroom for the purpose of improving emotional and social development of the individual child. The plotting of a sociogram revealed the choices of students within the classroom. Group counseling activities were used as the treatment for the experimental group. The pretest and the posttest between the control and experimental group showed no significant sociometric choice changes in the experimental group.
