Milestones
We began as an experiment. In 1969, the Texas Legislature decided to create an “upper-level” university in Odessa—i.e., a college that accepted only juniors, seniors, and graduate students. A lot has changed since then, Freshmen and Sophomores were added; our STEM Academy started with a class of 6th graders that will graduate in 2021, buildings, programs and community partnerships have flourished.
